The name Haeyoma comes from my son. It's how he used to call to me from his room. Hey yo ma!!! Well after studing Korean language and culture for the past 15+ years, I liked this way better. He still says this everytime we talk on the phone.
Haeyoma was inspired by my journey back to faith, God and Jesus. I have been handmaking crochet items for the less fortunate in my area for the last 10 years. Occasionally remaking a hat or two for my family here and there.
My love of crafting came from my mom, Pat. She was always making something. She once macramed an entire 6ft Christmas tree that I wish I still had. She always wanted to sell her crafts and now, through God's conviction I am able to honor her in that journey. I hope she would be proud to see the beautiful things I create and know that I think of her often as I do.
I hope that you find joy in my creations and maybe a little spiritual inspiration as well!!
